The Canadian Museum of Nature is home to an incredible collection of natural phenomena—everything from dinosaurs and fossils to furry forest creatures and a state-of-the-art specimen-freezing cryobank.

The museum’s current branding and website are in need of a revamp, to better articulate the significance of the institution, what they actually do, and how their activities are relevant to today’s discerning museum visitor.

With this set of brand guidelines I give the museum a new brand voice: an inviting, welcoming, engaging, inclusive, ethical and knowledgeable persona that I think better represents the museum and its identity. I’ve also created a new logo, colour palette, typography, graphic elements and photography guidelines.

I want members of the museum’s two key audiences—school children and visitors to Ottawa—to make the CMNC a can’t-miss stopover on their cultural journey!
